Ireland and Northern Ireland have long and proud traditions of tap dance. I’ve always found this dance genre fascinating, and it’s hard not to be impressed by the skill of tap dancers. I was therefore very pleased when I saw this troupe and their reinterpretation of the classic dance style. They replace traditional music in favor of more modern beats. The result? All you need is to listen to the jurors reactions, such as Simon Cowell’s: “I love it here. This is the reason why I wanted to come to Belfast. It was wonderful,” the veteran judge said following the extraordinary performance.
