I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I can’t understand how people could possibly harm or neglect their animals. I really can’t understand it.
I’ve seen and read about so many cases of terrible people who torture and abuse their animals to death without giving it a second thought. And each time, it’s equally inconceivable that it happens. But fortunately, some of these stories have happy endings…
This story is about a horse named Benny. His owner left him to starve to death. He was denied proper food and water for a long period of time. He got thinner and thinner. And in the end, he was so weak that he couldn’t stand up.
One day, a woman found Benny and brought her farm, Last Stop Horse Rescue. She was determined to help him and make Benny healthy and strong again.
At Last Stop Horse Rescue, she took Benny into her heart and gave him food and love. And for the first time, Benny had someone who really cared for him.
Over time, Benny slowly regained his strength. And after a month, he got his spirit back. Every time he was fed, he’d kick his food bucket like he couldn’t believe it was real. Benny finally had the nourishment he needed.
After six months, Benny was strong and healthy. And now, he has his life back thanks to the good folks at Last Stop Horse Rescue.
