When Hayley Turner from the UK brought her infant son, Samuel, to a public toilet a few weeks ago to change his diaper, something happened that she really hadn’t expected. When she put him down on the changing table, the baby boy immediately began screaming. “I dismissed it as him being tired, cold and grumpy so I changed him as quickly as possible so I could give him a cuddle and calm him down.” Hayley wrote on Facebook. But when she picked him up, she saw something that both shocked and upset her.
After putting her infant son on the changing table in the public bathroom, Hayley thought changing the boy’s diaper would be a quick and easy project. But it turned out not to be the case.

When Hayley took her screaming baby boy in her arms and looked at his back, she discovered that it was red and blotchy.
“It turns out some lowlife scum thought it would be ‘fun’ to deliberately put drawing pins in the bottom of the changing mat,” wrote Hayley.
Her baby had crying because sharp thumbtacks had punctured his skin, giving him small red marks across his back.
Hayley added, “Because he isn’t old enough to tell me it hurt, he now looks like a pin cushion with 5 holes in total! Angry doesn’t even cover it. It’s quite sad to think this has to be done but my word of warning is to CHECK YOUR CHANGING MATS!!“
At the time of writing this, Hayley’s warning has been shared over 100,000 times. And unfortunately, it seems that this wasn’t the first time this has happened. In the comments section of Hayley’s message, commenters write that this has happened before to several children in the area around Oxfordshire, England.
