Nobody knows why bride & groom are in hospital – then they point to a room and everyone is moved to tears

Lisa and Robert had planned a dream wedding with lots of guests, food, singing, and dancing. But then, their plans suddenly changed.

The couple decided to hold the wedding at a hospital so that Lisa’s first dance would be just as special as she had imagined.

After they decided to get married, Lisa Wilson and Robert Pantoja planned a grand wedding.

But one day, the bride was no longer interested in any big plans.

She decided that the wedding shouldn’t be in the big room they had planned on, and she no longer wanted to have a large guest list.

Instead, she wanted her wedding to be meaningful for her and Robert’s families – and especially, for her dad.

Lisa’s father had cancer and was hospitalized. And a wedding without her dad was the last thing Lisa wanted. After all, he was the person who gave her life, taught her to ride a bike, and supported her through the good times and the bad. Lisa thought about how he could be at her big day and came up with an idea that would solve everything.

Lisa and Robert would get married at the hospital where Lisa’s dad was staying.

Lisa couldn’t imagine her wedding without him, so she and Robert exchanged vows in her father’s hospital room. And afterward, Lisa and her dad shared the first dance together.

“‘I asked him, I said, ‘Daddy, I want to do my father-daughter dance with you.’ He said, ‘I can’t dance,’ and I said, ‘You don’t have to. I want to dance with your hands,'” Lisa told CBS.

These pictures caused tears to run down my cheeks. The way Lisa and her dad look at each other is so loving and beautiful – and it makes me happy for them that they get to spend the big day together.
