Police In Sussex, England Decorate Their Vehicles To Celebrate Pride.

Last year, the police department in Sussex, England decorated a police car in the colors of the rainbow to celebrate Pride in nearby Brighton. But when the heart-warming gesture was met with some criticism, the chief of police responded on Twitter.

This year, Sussex Police Department has outdone itself and decorated a van and two motorcycles.

Police chief Nev Camp’s Twitter message was hailed by people around the world. And August 6, the Pride parade will once again be held in Brighton, England. And Camp has sent another message of equality. He wrote:

“This year I decided to emblazon a van in pride colours because I wanted to send a message that we wholeheartedly reject the view of those who appear to be critical because it is an LGBT event.”
