The Telemarketer Calls Him During The Movie. His Answer? This Is Gold.

At some point or another, I think we’ve all been a bit annoyed with a telemarketer. Sure, they’re just doing their job, but it can especially be annoying when the calls get repetitive or they catch you at an especially bad time. And once you finally decide to answer, you may feel forced into listening to a boring sales pitch that feels like it’s lasting an eternity. So let’s just say I was pretty glad to come across this story of a guy who was exposed to some of the most relentless phoning I’ve ever even heard of. But let’s just say… He seems to take care of the situation just fine. I think I’ll definitely try this out the next time a telemarketer keeps calling me.

I was at a friend’s place one night last week to hang out and see a movie when the phone rang. He glanced at his caller ID, saw it wasn’t a number he recognized, so he didn’t pick up.

A minute later, the same number called again. Again, he decided not to pick up. Then- the same number called seven times within 20 minutes, forcing us to pause our movie over and over again to see who was calling!

But when the phone rang for the eighth (!) time, my friend decided it was enough and finally decided to pick up. And here’s how the conversation went:

My buddy: Yes, this is Andre.

Vendor: Hey Andre! I’m calling from AB SuperPhone and thought we could chat a little about your telephone long distance service!

My buddy: I’m sorry, you’re kind of calling at a bad time, why don’t you give me your home number and I’ll call you later?

Vendor: Uh … Sorry, we’re not allowed to do that…

My buddy: Oh, I guess you don’t want people calling you and bothering you at home?

Vendor: Um… no…

My buddy: Well now you know how I feel! *hangs up the phone*

Needless to say, the vendor did not call back!
