They Give The Mic To A Little Girl. At 1:15, The Whole Arena Erupts In Cheers.

Every year since 1980, the Stadium of Fire event has been held on or near July 4th at Brigham Young University in Salt Lake, City, Utah. And one of the highlights of the patriotic celebration is definitely the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” A few years ago, the event planners gave 11-year-old Lexi Walker the chance to step onto the big stage and sing the national anthem. Lexi’s performance quickly went viral, and although her whole performance is phenomenal, my favorite part comes around the 1:15 mark. The combination of Lexi’s soaring voice and a magnificent fireworks display made my heart skip a beat. Check out Lexi’s powerful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” below!
