Actor Val Kilmer makes rare public appearance after 2-year battle with throat cancer

However, the actor was seen out and about in a rare public appearance for his TwainMania Foundation, created to educated children on Mark Twain’s legacy.

He was accompanied by his 22-year-old son.

The actor looked barely recognizable. He admitted in the same interview that the cancer diagnosis had taken a toll on his family.

Val Kilmer took a break from Hollywood during his illness but is set to return to the big screen in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 classic.
