Bette Midler wants the US to ban Viagra since it’s “God’s will” to have a “limp d**k”

Bette Midler has hit out at the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V Wade last week and called on the country to ban Viagra.

With an amusing take on the stance that all pregnancies are God’s will – and therefore abortion must be a bad thing, right? – the legendary actress tweeted: “Time to ban Viagra. Because if pregnancy is ‘God’s will’, then so is your limp d**k.”

Naturally, Midler’s comments were met with mixed reaction on social media. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the US has differing opinions as to the decision to overturn Roe V Wade, and the division has caused yet more waves of uncertainty at a time when the country is notoriously split.

One Twitter user commented on Middler’s tweet: “I love it. The Republican limp d**k party.”

Another added: “My brother-in-law asked if they are going to ban condoms in red states – birth control right?”

Last week, the Supreme Court voted to reverse Roe V Wade, ensuring that the constitutional right to abortion, in place for the better part of 50 years, no longer exists.

Of course, though shocking, the decision to overturn the historic ruling wasn’t a total surprise. Back in May, draft documents were leaked proposing such drastic measures, prompting widespread outrage.

As per reports, the decision means that abortion rights will be rolled back in nearly half of all US states immediately.

Many, including the aforementioned Bette Midler, believe this to be an unacceptable ruling in the modern age. Midler tweeted at the time of the announcement:

“They did it. THEY DID IT TO US! #SCOTUS has overturned #RoevWade, enshrined in the Constitution as settled law for over 50 years.

“How dare they? This #SCOTUS is absolutely tone-deaf to the will and even the actual needs of the American people. #WakeUpAmerica.”

Thirteen states, including the likes of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, are said to have passed ‘trigger laws’ to criminalize abortion. These laws automatically went into effect following the overruling over the weekend.

How do you feel about the overturning of Roe V Wade at the weekend? Is this a dark day in American history? Do you agree with Bette Middler’s sentiments or not?
