She complains when her neighbor has loud sex – minutes later, a note appears under her door

Nineteen-year-old Jenna Levine studies at New York’s Syracuse University, and on a recent weeknight, she couldn’t sleep because of the noise coming from her neighbor’s room down the hall.

Jenna decided to write a little note and slip it under her neighbor’s door.

“Hello neighbor,

Please have sex a little more quietly please. Some of us are trying to nap and not to be reminded how alone I am…feel free to make all the love you want. Just please, make it nasty @ a lower volume. Thank you!”

Minutes later, Jenna heard a sound at her front door. And when she went to investigate, she discovered something under the door.

It was a response from her neighbor-and Jenna was convinced that it was going to be unpleasant.

But imagine Jenna’s surprise when she received a big bar of chocolate and a letter instead!

The letter wasn’t at all what Jenna had expected.

“Dearest neighbors,

I’m so, so incredibly sorry about that. I didn’t realize how loud I was being, and ya know, sometimes having loud sex is low key kinda hot but obviously [not] at your cost, which I apologize so sincerely for. I’m so so sorry, I hope this hasn’t occurred too often, and thanks so much for the incredible and hilarious card. I will for sure try to make it nasty at a significantly lower level. And hey, don’t you worry, you’re not alone forever. The right person will come along when the time comes. I was single for 18 years.

Haha. Once again, I apologize so sincerely & deeply.

Sorry, Room 338″

And just like that, the problem went away.

After the incident, Jenna posted the images on Twitter, and since then, they’ve gone viral. If Jenna has any more trouble sleeping, she’ll update the story, however.

This is the kindness that we need to get along in this world! 🙂 Please share this story if you also think that neighbors should be this polite to each other!
