Susan Boyle joins choir to sing Christmas classic – sends chills through the crowd

Brace yourselves, Christmas songs are coming.

If you haven’t already heard one this year then your time will come soon enough. Tis’ the season to be jolly, after all, and nothing says Christmas quite like a festive tune.

One you probably haven’t heard yet (and you really should) is Susan Boyle‘s rendition of the classic “Away In A Manger”, coming from her second album “The Gift” …

You may remember Susan Boyle from her now famous first audition on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2008. Then a middle-aged woman no one had ever heard of, Boyle stunned judges and audiences alike with her powerful vocals. She hasn’t stopped since.

Nor does it seem like she has any intention of putting the brakes on an impressive career. The 57-year-old certainly has a gift when it comes to singing, and she credits religion has having given her a direction in life.

Speaking to Christian Post, she said: “My faith is incredibly important to me on every level. It gets me through those moments of self-doubt and also allows me to understand that this gift of my career, later in life, is from a higher power. Religion is very important to me and I still attend church services regularly.

“As a young child, I went with my family to church and sang in the choir. I find that my religion gives me a direction in life and brings great happiness. ”

In the video in question, Boyle can be seen standing before a large crowd at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. With help from an all-children’s choir, she delivers yet another rousing performance worthy of remembrance. Even if you’re not a massive fan of Christmas music, you’ll want to check this one out.
