Paris Fashion Week is happening right now and the world’s biggest names in fashion are all gathered in the historic city. L’Oreal Paris, as always, plays a big part in the festivities. The “L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé — Walk Your Worth” event took place on September 23, 2024, and was walked by several big names.
The runway was graced by many big names, one of which was Jane Fonda.
The 86-year-old veteran actress appeared on the runway in all silver look. She wore a silver trench coat which matched her silver sneakers and silver hair. To add a shock of color to her look, the actress wore bright red lipstick and red nailpolish.
According to L’Oreal, the idea behind the runway was “to celebrate women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sisterhood.” In the lead-up to the event, the brand was sharing videos of their ambassadors on social media. One video featured two icons, Jane Fonda and Andie MacDowell. Both women are known for rocking their natural gray hair beautifully.

When Jane took the main stage, people were blown away by her beauty and grace at age 86. One person commented, “Good bone structure and good genes!” while another fan added, “Young at heart… that’s the only way you can be like her 86…kudos” while one user simply stated, “Gorgeous.”
But it seems not everyone was a fan of how she looked. One person believed her beauty was a result of plastic surgery, “Makeup and face work,” and another person agreed writing, “Not Jane Fonda.. her essence is gone..” Another unimpressed netizen added, “No, she didn’t “Wow” anybody. Also, she looks every bit of 86.”
Earlier this year, Fonda opened up about her eating disorder on the L’Oréal Paris Lights On Women podcast. She shared, “lasted a long time and it was very hard to heal.”
She said when she was younger, she was desperate to do “anything not to be fat.”
She shared what she was led to believe at the time, “‘If I’m not perfect, nobody is going to love me’ is the message that I received.”
She talked about her decades-long activism and how she balanced it with her acting career. “[People] did not like women with a voice that they used,” she said. She added that they preferred “women to be objects of desire, to look at.”
