It’s no secret, we’re all struggling.
Whether it’s at the gas pump or the grocery store, the cost of living has skyrocketed leaving many of us counting every one of our pennies.
While some stores have increased their prices, at least one store is giving its customers a bit of relief this summer.
Aldi recently announced its plan to lower the cost of 250 products for customers from now through Labor Day.
“Aldi is always looking for ways to help customers save money, but with more experts warning of persistent inflation, the time was right to deliver even greater discounts on our already low prices for the second year in a row,” Dave Rinaldo, President of Aldi U.S. said in a statement.
The cost reductions, which will be added to seasonal items, will save Americans an estimated $100 million.
Some of the products included in Aldi’s price drop includes “better-for-you foods” such as chia seeds, avocado oil, and frozen blueberries; picnic necessities such as french baguettes, kombucha, and summer sausage; travel-ready snacks like granola bars and dried fruit; and BBQ essentials like sirloin steak, chicken breast, and frozen french fries.
“We don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season,” Rinaldo added.
