Elon Musk’s mysterious neck mark sparks reactions online

Elon Musk made headlines again – this time not for rockets or AI, but for his fashion choices during a cabinet meeting at the White House.

Seated in the Cabinet Room, Musk wore a striking red cap emblazoned with Gulf of America, a nod to the controversial renaming of the Gulf of Mexico by President Donald Trump earlier this year. The hat’s design closely resembled the iconic “Make America Great Again” caps and included the numbers “45 – 47,” referencing Trump’s non-consecutive presidencies as the 45th and now 47th U.S. president.

But what truly caught the internet’s attention wasn’t just the branding; it was Musk’s decision to wear two hats. In footage shared online, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief was seen stacking a red cap atop a black one before removing both to speak.

Trump himself couldn’t resist commenting, joking, “Elon, I love your double hat, by the way. He’s the only one who can get away with that.” Musk shot back with a grin: “Well, Mr. President, as they say, I wear a lot of hats. Even my hat wears a hat!”

Social media lit up almost immediately. “Double Hat Day” became a trending topic, with one Facebook user quipping, “I can only imagine the sight, Elon Musk stacking hats at a cabinet meeting.”

But not all eyes were on the headwear. Several viewers noticed what appeared to be a mark or scar on Musk’s neck, sparking speculation. Comments ranged from concern, “Did Elon get a biopsy?” to confusion, “What’s that slice on his neck??” Others criticized his attire altogether: “Does he even know that’s inappropriate for a cabinet meeting?”

Still, the double-hat stunt and the cryptic neck mark stole most of the spotlight, prompting both amusement and bewilderment across the political spectrum. One viewer summed up the mood with a dry, “Good lord… Cringe,” while another asked, “Seriously, that makes you LMAO?”

This isn’t Musk’s first eye-catching moment at the White House. In February, he posted a photo on X wearing an oversized red MAGA hat while posing with arms outstretched in the Oval Office. The image, complete with his signature black ensemble, quickly circulated online.

By March, questions about decorum reached the press room. When asked why Musk was allowed to dress so casually for high-level meetings, especially after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was criticized for not wearing a suit, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt replied with a chuckle: “He did last night.” She added, “I think the president liked it very much.”

For now, Musk remains an enigma wrapped in tech mogul bravado and double-layered headwear. His latest appearance continues to blur the lines between government, celebrity, and satire; fueling speculation, memes, and commentary with every public move.
