Prince Harry’s verdict after watching Meghan’s Suits sex scenes

Meghan Markle shared some steamy on-screen moments with her Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams during her time on the show.

However, Prince Harry has revealed that watching some of those scenes with his wife made him feel deeply uncomfortable.

In his memoir Spare, Harry admits that one particular moment left a lasting and unsettling impression on him.

Much has changed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story goes back many years. Meghan’s friend set up a date for the couple in 2016. In their Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the now-Duchess described how she was in London for the Wimbledon tennis tournament in 2016 when she and Harry initially made plans to meet.

Harry has revealed that the famous Suits actress first caught his eye on Instagram when she appeared in a mutual friend’s video.

Though their relationship was initially long-distance – a secret to the world – it never stopped them.

“Everything was text and FaceTime, we’d talk for hours. It felt exciting but not in the way people would assume it would be,” Meghan said. “It was just relaxed and easy.”

Since then, much has changed — Prince Harry and Meghan have become parents, stepped back from their royal duties, and relocated to the United States. But some parts of their past still seem to haunt them, and certain scenes from Meghan’s time on Suits appear to continue troubling Harry.

“Electric shock therapy”

In Spare, the 40-year-old prince described watching the season two finale as so tough that he felt like he needed “electric shock therapy” to erase it from his mind.

He wrote, “I’d witnessed her [Meghan] and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room. I didn’t need to see such things live.”

The raw honesty from Harry sheds light on the challenges of watching a loved one in such exposed roles. But royal author Tom Bower adds another layer to the story, explaining that once Meghan’s relationship with Harry became serious, the royal household began to exercise control over her Suits appearances.

Although Meghan retired from her role as Rachel Zane on Suits in 2018 after getting engaged to Prince Harry, she remained active on the show during the early years of their relationship.

Behind-the-scenes restrictions

According to Bower’s book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors, scripts were sent to Kensington Palace for approval, and the Palace even demanded changes to certain scenes. One notable request was that no photos be taken of Meghan in her wedding dress for the show’s final episode. To comply, Meghan always wore a jacket over her dress between takes, which reportedly shifted the vibe on set.

Despite the behind-the-scenes restrictions, Meghan once spoke openly about her time on Suits, highlighting one “perk of the job” — working alongside “hot” co-stars.

In a 2015 interview with Yahoo Life, when asked if it was tough to be surrounded by so much “hotness,” Meghan laughed and said, “I mean, how do you even answer that? No. Absolutely not. It’s one of the job perks, right?”

In a lighthearted interview with Larry King, Meghan’s co-star Patrick J. Adams joked that one particular scene — which didn’t show any “passionate parts”— felt “terrifying” and “scary” to him. And it’s possible Meghan felt the same way about that moment.

Real reason Meghan left Suits

Meghan Markle made her last appearance on Suits in 2017, a full year before she married Prince Harry. Many assumed that her upcoming royal duties would prevent her from continuing with any more on-screen roles.

Still, one of the show’s writers once admitted he had ”taken a gamble” believing their relationship would succeed. Although he didn’t directly say it, Aaron Korsh’s remark suggests he had long planned to write Meghan’s character out of the series.

That Suits continues to be relevant to Meghan is clear, and she often talks about her time on the show. On the latest episode of her podcast with Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles, Meghan spilled some tea… this time about the haircare wisdom she decided to skip.

”If I’d stayed in the industry longer…”

While discussing Beyoncé’s legendary wig game, Meghan revealed that fellow actresses warned her her natural hair would “fry” under the studio lights and urged her to wear wigs during her time filming Suits.

Tina Knowles shared, “She’s on stage with hot lights and wears wigs often, yet she’s managed to keep her hair beautiful and healthy — a tough feat in showbiz.”

Meghan fired back with a salute to her own resilience: “That really is a testament. I was on Suits for seven years, and many actresses warned me, especially during that grind, that my hair was going to fry. They kept recommending I start wearing wigs.”

“But I never did. If I’d stayed in the industry longer, I’d totally understand why protecting your hair that way is necessary.”
