KISS rocker and lead singer Gene Simmons was hospitalized on Tuesday after being involved in a car crash in Malibu, California. The legendary musician reportedly passed out behind the wheel, but fortunately, he emerged unscathed. Now, Simmons shares a statement on how he’s doing.

On Tuesday, October 7, KISS rocker Gene Simmons drove down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. NBC4 Los Angeles reported that Simmons crashed after passing out behind the wheel.

A spokesperson for the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station stated that an incident similar to this had occurred, but didn’t specify that it involved Simmons, although it matched the description.

The spokesperson told People Magazine that it happened on the 25000 block of Pacific Coast Highway just before 1 p.m., involving a “vechicle that struck a parked vehicle.”

NBC4 Los Angeles reported that his car “careened across several lanes of traffic” before hitting the parked vehicle. Gene Simmons was transferred to the hospital by the LA County Fire Department.

His wife, Shannon, shared a statement to the news outlet, saying that Gene made it out without any injuries. He was recovering at home, and she further said he had recently changed his medication. Therefore, he has to drink more water, something the musician’s not that fond of.
