Everything Donald Trump has named or renamed after himself – as Florida airport faces rebrand

Donald Trump has long had a habit of putting his name on things – from skyscrapers to financial ventures. But since returning to the White House for a second term, Donald Trump appears to have taken it even further.

What once mainly applied to Trump Tower, luxury hotels, and golf resorts has expanded. These days, his name is being attached to everything from major public landmarks to federal programs.

On March 30, Governor Ron DeSantis filed a motion to rename Palm Beach International Airport to “President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”

The Trump Organization had already submitted a trademark application for the name in February, meaning the change could come into effect as early as July, if approved. There are still several steps before that happens.

Speaking about the proposal, Representative Brian Mast said: “President Donald J. Trump’s impact on our nation will transcend our time — a historic legacy of dedication and commitment toward the American people. He’s called Palm Beach County ‘home’ for many years, and this designation reflects our gratitude for his public service and leadership,” according to The National News Desk.

But the airport isn’t the only high-profile name change making headlines.

“Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts”

In December 2025, the White House announced plans to rename the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts to include Trump’s name, turning it into the “Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.”

The move followed a unanimous vote by the center’s board of trustees, many of whom had been selected by Trump himself. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the decision reflected “the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building.”

Trump, for his part, said he was “surprised” and “honored” by the decision.

Joyce Beatty filed a lawsuit

Still, the proposal sparked backlash. The center was originally established as a memorial to former President John F. Kennedy, and critics questioned whether the change was even legal. Democratic Representative Joyce Beatty even filed a lawsuit seeking to remove Trump’s name.

Around the same time, another renaming effort unfolded at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). According to reports, Trump had allegedly dismissed the institute’s board and staff earlier in the year, placing it under the control of the General Services Administration. The Department of State said the rebranding was meant “to reflect the greatest dealmaker in our nation’s history,” adding: “the best is yet to come.”

Democrats again pushed back, arguing the move lacked legal authority, something the White House has denied. The matter remains ongoing.

“Trump-class” battleships

And it doesn’t stop at buildings.

Trump also unveiled plans for a new class of naval vessels, the so-called “Trump-class” battleships. The Navy described them as a new generation of American-designed ships intended to be the most powerful surface combatants ever built.

“They’ll be the fastest, the biggest, and by far, 100 times more powerful than any battleship ever built,” Trump said at the time.

Beyond that, his name has continued to appear across a wide range of initiatives. From banners in Washington, D.C., to “Trump Accounts” for children’s savings, a prescription drug search tool called TrumpRx, and even proposals involving currency bearing his signature, according to UNILAD.
