The two alarming symptoms Robert Kelker-Kelly ignored before his sudden death

Days of Our Lives star Robert Kelker-Kelly declined a trip to hospital just hours before his death, according to a police report.

New details have emerged about the final hours of soap opera actor Kelly, who died suddenly earlier this month at the age of 62.

According to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital, the actor suffered alarming symptoms including pain in his chest and left arm shortly before he died, but opted not to go to the hospital.

Kelker-Kelly was best known for playing Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives. He also worked as a professional pilot.

On the evening of Saturday, October 3, his wife, Allison Kelly, picked him up from Spirit of St. Louis Airport at around 7:30 p.m. She later told police that, during the drive home, he began complaining of pain in his left arm and chest, while he also asked her to pull over as he felt sick.

When Allison asked whether he wanted to go to the hospital, he reportedly said no, telling her that he would rather go home and lie down.

When the couple arrived at their home in St. Peters, Missouri, Kelker-Kelly changed his clothes and went to bed. As per Fox News Digital, he was still in pain, so asked Allison to bring him an aspirin.

When she came back from the kitchen, he was unresponsive and not breathing, so she called 911 and started CPR. Police and paramedics arrived shortly after 8 p.m. and tried to save him, but Kelker-Kelly was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.

Allison told investigators that her husband had no known medical conditions and didn’t take any prescription medication. Nor had he undergone surgery or had any serious injuries in the past year.

Police say they found nothing suspicious at the scene, and that the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event. The St. Charles County medical examiner released his body without further investigation.

Kelker-Kelly was born in Wichita, Kansas, in 1964. He got his big break in 1987 as Sam Fowler on Another World.

In 1992, he took over the role of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, replacing original actor Peter Reckell. He played the character until 1995, and in 1994 he won the Soap Opera Digest Award for outstanding lead actor.

He went on to play the villain Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital from 2001 to 2003, and returned to the role in 2013 and 2014. He also appeared in Port Charles and Touched by an Angel.

Chest pain and pain spreading to the left arm are widely recognized as possible warning signs of a heart attack. Health experts urge anyone with these symptoms to call emergency services right away rather than waiting to see if they pass.
