A man who has spent decades studying Nostradamus has made his own grim forecasts for the next few years. He claims they could all come true before 2028.
John Hogue, also known as “America’s Nostradamus,” has shared a list of grim predictions. A slim silver lining is that we won’t have to hold our breath for long to see if he’s right, because they could be true already before 2028.
Hogue has spent years studying the writings of Michel de Nostredame, the 16th-century French astrologer better known as Nostradamus and written books on the subject. Now he’s using those old verses to make forecasts of his own.
Hogue isn’t the only self-styled prophet making headlines lately. The so-called “Chinese Nostradamus” has also been making his predictions about Donald Trump and the state of the world, although he’s a history teacher who uses past events and game theory to predict what comes next rather than astrology.
A coin flip over Iran
Hogue shared his latest predictions with The Sun, and he started with the most alarming one.
“Trump is 50-50 about going ahead with a nuclear strike on Iran,” he claimed. “It is a new pattern of danger I’ve been warning about for a long time now.”
“When all stockpiles of Western – and particularly American – conventional weapons, are exhausted, that will leave only bountiful tactical and then strategic intercontinental nuclear weapon stocks left to fight wars with,” he said.
In his view, one strike could set off a chain reaction, with other nuclear powers hitting back until the whole world is pulled in. He describes it as a “Sword of Nuclear Damocles” hanging over everyone’s heads by 2028. And he doesn’t think it would be over quickly. If he’s right, the war could drag on for almost 30 years.
The “Third Antichrist”
Hogue also thinks a figure from Nostradamus’s verses, known as “Mabus” or the “Third Antichrist,” will die soon. He believes that will set off even more chaos.
He pointed to one passage in particular: “The Third Antichrist will very soon be annihilated, twenty-seven years of blood his war will last. The heretics dead, captives, exiled. Blood[-soaked] human bodies, water reddened, hail ravaging [despoiling] the Earth.”
According to Hogue, that could mean attacks on energy and oil infrastructure, followed by an economic collapse. Again, he says it’s all due by 2028.
There is a sliver of hope, though. Hogue believes all this could be the wake-up call humanity needs, and that people might finally start choosing peace over violence.
