A New York psychologist has accused Donald Trump of abusing her as a child in a video that has gone viral. Her claims have not been verified, and Trump has not responded.
Dr. Larissa Portnoff, a clinical psychologist and clinical director at New York Psychology Practice, shared the video over the weekend accusing Donald Trump of abusing her as a child. On the video, she describes herself as “one of the child victims of Donald Trump.”
Portnoff, who is now in her 30s, has competed in Miss Teen USA, the pageant Trump owned from 1997 to 2015.
In the video, she alleges that the abuse began when she was around eight years old and continued until she was about 12. She also claims she was targeted again as a teenager, and that she had exploitative encounters with Trump and people around him after she turned 18.
Claims of intimidation
Portnoff says she has been contacted over the past year by someone she believes was acting as a political fixer, which she describes as witness intimidation.
According to her she was invited to a Yankees game on September 11 in an alleged effort to “exploit” her again, describing the invitation as “harmful and disgusting.” She also claims her sealed records as a “Jane Doe” were accessed, revealing her identity.
“You’ve tried to destroy evidence in the case following my reports, and you have no accountability here,” she says in the video, addressing Trump directly. “I am in my 30s now, and the fact that you’ve done this to me for three decades is inhuman.”
She describes the alleged actions as “organized crime” and calls for an investigation.
“It has to do with very powerful and dangerous individuals, and it intersects with national security issues,” she says. “And if you think you’re going to intimidate me, Donald Trump, it’s not going to work.”
Portnoff says she has already raised her concerns with a Senate office, and that her reports were referred to the Attorney General. She also claims she has received death threats, but says she is no longer afraid and will keep speaking out publicly. At the end of the video, she asks anyone with relevant information to contact her office, saying all information will be kept confidential and protected under HIPAA.
What we know so far
None of Portnoff’s allegations have been independently corroborated, and no court case or official investigation linked to her claims has been made public.
White House spokesperson Lauren Bis emailed Snopes on November 2: “These are false and slanderous allegations. President Trump has never even met or heard of this woman. This is clearly an attempt by the Democrats to distract from their disastrous socialist agenda.”
Meanwhile Trump has faced allegations of sexual misconduct for decades. Close to 30 women have accused him of misconduct ranging from unwanted touching to assault, according to Axios. He has denied all of them and has never been criminally charged.
In 2023, a civil jury in New York found him liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll in the 1990s and awarded her $5 million. A federal appeals court upheld the verdict in December 2024. He denies her claims.
Portnoff’s video comes a week after House Judiciary Democrats released a report detailing an allegation by former Miss Switzerland contestant Beatrice Keul, who says Trump raped her at New York’s Plaza Hotel in 1993. The White House called the report politically motivated.
