Swimming instructor and 10-month-old baby form adorable bond

Lucas is one of the many babies born during the pandemic so hasn’t enjoyed the same social interactions most babies have had.

When he was 3 months old mom Tracey Martorana decided to take Lucas for swimming lessons.

It wasn’t long before Lucas started to love his swimming lessons at Saf-T-Swim in New York, but it was one instructor in particular that little Lucas was always ecstatic to see – Carlson Rogers.

“Being a pandemic baby, our circle is really small,” Tracey said. “He knows the grandparents, immediate family, and then there’s Carlson. Carlson is a part of our crew.”

Tracey saw how much Lucas loved his instructor and decided that he should take private lessons just with Carlson. Now, thanks to videos that Tracy has posted of the adorable duo, they have become a social media sensation.

In one clip a sleepy Lucas has no problem taking a nap on Carlson’s shoulder which the dedicated swimming instructor happily accommodates.

“I love watching the relationship,” she said. “Carlson is a big strapping man and Lucas loves to hug him and hold onto him.”

In another video Carlson is caught on camera lifting little Lucas into the air recreating the iconic scene from Lion King, which Tracey added the “Circle of Life,” music to.

“The comment section is hysterical. Everyone loves Carlson,” she said. “I think it was just something important for people to see. Love knows no bounds.”

Tracey said Carlson is very patient when Lucas is fussy but most of the time their swim sessions are full of splashing and laughing, as well as swimming.

We love seeing these two together and I hope more videos are posted of the precious moments from their friendship.
