Bike gang hunts down dog fight rings and saves animals from abusive owners

Try as they might, most people maintain a set of negative stereotypes when they consider groups of bikers.

After all, bikes can be loud, disturbing things, and the media and Hollywood have long since cast a mould of violence for those who associate with so-called ‘biker gangs’.

And yet, of course, it’s not always the case that said bikers are out simply to make noise and pursue wanton discord. There are plenty of them who are genuinely nice people, those who have morals and discipline.

One such group, undoubtedly, are Rescue Ink, who have made it their aim to put an end to animal abuse, wherever it rears its ugly head.

Anyone who saves abused animals is a hero in my book.

Much like modern day knights, they stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, and there are few causes more noble than that. Which is why I feel the need to bring to light Rescue Ink, the group of burly bikers who have made it their mission to save suffering animals wherever they find them.

Over time they’ve carved a niche when it comes to paying visits to particularly cruel and violent pet owners, before “convincing” them to hand over the animals, whether they want to or not.

Sure, they boast large, tatted, no-nonsense sort of guys, but Rescue Ink are a non-profit organization set on making the world a better place for those souls who can’t defend themselves.

They range in gender, age, and profession. Some are full-time bikers, others are lawyers, ex-police officers, weightlifters. The list goes on, but they’re all bound by one passion: sourcing and saving animals in need.

Rescue Ink says the group gets about 250 calls every single day from locations all over the world.

The group regularly intervenes in alleged dog-fighting rings, and their efforts aren’t restricted to dogs alone. All manner of creatures have been saved by Rescue Ink, including a python, a pig, horses, fish and chickens!

Mission statement

The groups mission statement reads as follows: “Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law — that’s what our lawyers tell us to say — to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds.

“Some people like to think of us as superheroes. The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”

If the group get evidence of abuse going on, they don’t hesitate to step into a situation and save the afflicted animal, providing rescue and rehabilitation.

It might seem like these guys aren’t to be messed with, but that’s only if you’re planning on abusing a poor and innocent animal.

Otherwise, it’s fair to say the wonderful people who run this organization are setting an example others should be following!

We think Rescue Ink deserve a round of applause for all their good work!
