As much as I love wedding ceremonies, I love wedding receptions more. As soon as the “I do’s” are done and the party moves from a church to a reception hall, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed and there’s more for the two families to get to know each other. And the most telling parts of any wedding reception come during the toasts.
I love hearing family members share heartfelt stories about the bride and groom, and I love the advice the older generation gives the couple before they start a new life together. But the most unforgettable wedding toasts happen when the speakers get creative.
When Jordan and Cassidy’s big sister, Jessica, was getting married, they decided to drop the usual wedding toast speech and instead sing a musical tribute to their big sis. The two sisters take wedding guests on a hilarious journey through their older sister’s life and offer up some advice to the groom, all set to everyone’s favorite songs from the 90s.
Jordan and Cassidy had the crowd cracking up before they even launched into their epic medley. But when they launch into parodies of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl,” Will Smith’s “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” and Spice Girl’s “Wannabe,” the crowd is in stitches. If you’ve got sibling, you’ll definitely appreciate the humor, too.
Check it out, stick around for the hilarious final song, and see Jessica’s emotional response at the end.
