The King of the Forest is truly a majestic creature. I was lucky enough to grow up near a forest so actually encountered them relatively often – but every encounter still blew me away. They simply never fail to amaze me. Never however have I been fortunate enough to witness anything like what you’ll see in the next video. Victoria Hickey and Sarah Lochner in Anchorage, Alaska, United States, were the lucky two who witness a beautiful miracle – in their backyard. A female moose sat, and soon, they realized she was about to deliver, so they grabbed their camera. What they captured is nothing short of amazing. Watch for yourself below.
The two women managed to capture the entire birth on film. If you’ve never seen anything like this, it’s easy to get goose bumps. I do also have to warn – for some, this may be a bit graphic. The two women really capture every detail of the amazing delivery. So if watching a baby emerge from its mom isn’t necessarily your cup of tea, that’s fine… But you should definitely skip to 3:54 when the calf stands up!
