Teens find plastic bin full of abandoned puppies — do the right thing to save the day

It’s always inspiring to see people go out of their way to help animals in need. When two California teens stumbled upon a litter of abandoned puppies, they took action to save their lives.

On January 7, the Santa Clara Fire Department, in California, got a knock on their station door. It was two young men — and in their arms was plastic bin full of newborn puppies.

The puppies had been abandoned on the side of the road, and covered with a plastic lid, according to a Facebook post from the department. The temperature had reportedly “dropped significantly,” and the dogs’ lives were in grave danger.

But thankfully, the two teens happened to stumble upon the pups, and took action to save their lives.

They drove around to different vets offices, but they were all closed, so the young men turned to the fire department instead. The fire crew then contacted Silicon Valley Animal Control, who arrived and gave the puppies the care they needed.

The Santa Clara Fire Department shared the story — along with a photo of the boys smiling alongside the now-safe puppies — and thanked them for doing the right thing.

“Thank you to these young folks for helping!” they wrote on Facebook. “We are certain that their decision to act and find help created a positive outcome for the pups!”

Many commenters also praised the teens for their act. “Acts of kindness – I see two possible future first responders on the horizon!” one person wrote. “God bless them, the pups, and all first responders.”

“These boys are angels,” another wrote.

The status of the puppies is unclear, but hopefully they will get all the love and care they need and be put up for adoption soon!

It’s heartbreaking that anyone would abandon puppies so heartlessly like this, but thankfully there were “angels” sent to save them! Thank you to these teens, the fire department and the animal control officers for saving these pups’ lives!

Please share this heartwarming news!
