Al Roker is celebrating his son Nick by taking a moment to reminisce about the past 21 years he’s shared with the boy turned young man who “changed our lives.”
The Today weatherman posted a sweet video montage featuring photos of Nick throughout the years set to “Oh How the Years Go By” by Vanessa Williams in celebration of his 21st birthday.
“Wow,” Roker wrote. “#andjustlikethat 21 years ago, this young man changed our lives. Nick Roker, I love you and you make me so proud. #happybirthday Nick.”
In addition to Nick, Roker shares daughter Leila, 24, with wife Deborah Roberts.
The weatherman is also a father to daughter Courtney, 36, from a previous marriage.
Last year Al and Deborah became empty-nesters when the couple sent Nick off to college.
It was a bittersweet moment for the two as both commemorated the moment on social media.
“It was difficult. We’re so proud of him, all the work he’s done, the people who have helped him along the way. It literally does take a village,” Al told Today at the time. “It was a terrific moment and he’s put in so much hard work and I’m just so very proud of this young man.”
