On Tuesday, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin announced they were expecting their seventh child together.
“Another Baldwinito is coming this fall.”
Hilaria, 38, shared the exciting news on her Instagram, and Alec, 63, shared the adorable video of the couple telling their six children they were going to be big brothers and sisters on his social media.
“One of the most beautiful things my children have experienced with a big family is how the heart can grow with every new sibling,” Hilaria and Alec told PEOPLE in a statement. “Our capacity to love continues to expand and we can’t wait to embrace our new little one this fall!”
The couple’s children currently range in age from eight to 13 months. They have two daughters: Carmen Gabriela, 8, and María Lucía Victoria, 13 months, and four sons: Rafael Thomas, 6, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 5, Romeo Alejandro David, 3½, and Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, 18 months.
Alec is also the father to 26-year-old Ireland Baldwin, whom he shares with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
In Hilaria’s pregnancy announcement, she mentioned the family’s “many ups and downs” over the past few years.
Their exciting news comes less than six months after Alec was involved in the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust. Since then multiple lawsuits have been filed.
Alec has maintained his innocence in the shooting.
“Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but it’s not me,” he said during a December interview with ABC News.
It also follows a miscarriage and pregnancy loss, both which occurred within seven months of each other in 2019.
Hilaria marked National Rainbow Baby Day in 2021 with a photo of the couple’s two youngest children and a tribute to their angels.
“When I lost my babies in 2019, I will always remember thinking my tears would never stop. I will always be sad, they still flow from time to time, and I hold this sadness written permanently in the pages of my life’s book,” she wrote. “I also welcome and rejoice in my two rainbow babies, feeling that I am such a lucky mama.”
While Hilaria called these times “uncertain,” she said they’re all looking forward to welcoming the newest member of their family.
“Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives. A blessing and a gift during such uncertain times.”
