All My Children star Alec Musser’s cause of death has been revealed.
Three days after his untimely death the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the actor died by suicide.
According to reports, the 50-year-old was found January 13 by his fiancée Paige Press at their home in Del Mar, California.
A press release stated that Press last saw Musser alive Friday night. It wasn’t until Saturday morning that she found him “slumped forward on the bathroom floor” with a shotgun nearby.
The medical examiner said he died by an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
In addition to starring as Del Henry on All My Children, Musser also appeared on Rita Rocks, Road to the Altar, Desperate Housewives, and Grown Ups, alongside Adam Sandler.
“I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person,” Sandler wrote in a tribute on Instagram.
