The mother of Bianca Censori has said her family are just normal people trying to live their own lives amidst the maelstrom of controversy surrounding her daughter’s stunt at the 2025 Grammys.
Bianca – wife of iconic rap artist Kanye West – became arguably the most talked about person on the planet after wearing an outfit that left extremely little to the imagination this past Sunday.
The near-nude offering was revealed as Bianca and Kanye stood on the red carpet, with the former dropping her black fur coat to bare virtually all for the hundreds of gathered paparazzi.
Needless to say, the resulting photos spread around the world like wildfire, garnering praise and criticism from different quarters. In the days that followed Bianca’s outfit – or lack of – was all anybody in the world of celebrity news wanted to talk about.
We saw the supposed meaning behind the daring wardrobe choice come to light, as well as multiple lip readers attempt to decipher not only what words passed between Kanye and Bianca, but also what Kanye allegedly told photographers before his wife dropped her coat.
We also heard what Kanye himself had to say on the matter, with the 47-year-old lauding the fact that Censori’s name had become bigger than the actual Grammy awards (at least in terms of Google searches), and furiously denying the idea that he and his wife had been ejected from the event for not having been invited.
What we haven’t had – at least until now – is a comment from Bianca Censori herself. I’ll spare you the hope and say that we still don’t, at the time of writing, but what we do have is words from the model’s mother.
On Wednesday (February 5), Alexandra Censori is said to have broken her silence after being asked her thoughts on the incident. The Melbourne-based mom quickly made it clear that she wanted no part of the limelight.
Approached while walking to her car, Alexandra told the Daily Mail she had “nothing to say about Bianca.”
“We are just normal people, living our own lives as privately as we can,” added.
“I have nothing to say about Bianca, thank you.”
Bianca’s sister Angelina, meanwhile, showed support for her elder sibling by sharing a video of the red carpet incident to her Instagram Stories.
Censori and West have been married since 2022, with sources previously telling the Daily Mail that Bianca’s loved ones staged an intervention regarding fears over her husband’s controlling behavior.
The stunt at the Grammys was hardly the first time Censori has flaunted controversy with her outfits, and there are those who believe it’s her husband who is deciding what she wears and when.
