Britney Spears reconciles with mother Lynne Spears after years of estrangement: ‘Time heals all wounds’

Time heals all wounds.

At least that’s what Britney Spears is saying after she and her mother Lynne Spears met up for the first time in three years.

On Thursday the singer, 41, shared a throwback photo on Instagram of herself dressed as a ballerina alongside a caption describing the special moment she shared with her mother.

“My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time,” she wrote. “with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!!”

“And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!!”

For years Britney has held her “church going mother” partially responsible for the controversial conservatorship that was in place from 2008 until 2021.

Days before the conservatorship ended Lynne requested $650,000 in attorney fees from Britney’s estate. The following day Britney slammed her mother in a since-deleted Instagram post claiming the conservatorship was her mother’s idea.

“Pssss my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago … but what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea !!!!” Britney wrote. “I will never get those years back.”

Despite the accusations, Lynne reportedly attempted to reach out to Britney, but the star refused to see her.

But it seems like the two have made amends or are at least trying to reconcile their relationship.

“Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards !!!” Britney ended her post.

I’m happy to see Britney and her mom begin to mend their relationship. Hopefully they will continue to work on it.
