Actress Sandra Bullock has a long and successful career behind her. The Academy Award-winning 60-year-old continues to land major roles in Hollywood, but while she looks as stunning as ever, rumors have surfaced about her possibly undergoing plastic surgery.
So what is the truth, really? Let’s take a look at the rumors surrounding Sandra Bullock – and what the icon herself has said about plastic surgery.
Sandra Bullock has been in show business for a long time. After spending her early years abroad, she returned with her family to the US and eventually earned herself a degree in drama in the late 1980s.
The celebrated actress has starred in many big productions since, and in 2010, she won an Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in The Blind Side.
Bullock has always looked great and maintained her style. At the same time, as time has passed, rumors surrounding her possibly receiving some sort of plastic surgery or Botox have surfaced.
In 2018, Bullock confirmed that she had undergone the “Hollywood EGF Facial” treatment, also known as the “Penis Facial.” It was conducted by esthetician Georgia Louise in New York City.
Sandra Bullock admitted to receiving “Penis facial” treatment
As per People Magazine, Louise explained: “For the Hollywood EGF Facial treatment, Georgia Louise uses her TCA peels, micro-needling machine and an electrifying mask to calm the skin, followed by her ‘secret box’ of EGF serum (Epidermal Growth Factor). EGF is derived from the progenitor cells of the human fibroblast taken from Korean newborn baby foreskin – which helps to generate collagen and elastin.”
Moreover, Louise stated that the serum, which is FDA-approved, utilizes skin collected during circumcision.
“I always explain that EGF is derived from newborn baby foreskin, BUT cells were taken [from the foreskin] and from that, new cells are cloned from a laboratory.”
In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bullock confirmed that she had undergone the treatment. She added: “It’s not like I’m lying there with little pieces all over my face. I call it the penis facial. And I think when you see how good it is to your face, you too will run to your local facialist and say, ‘give me the penis.’”
Bullock isn’t the only actress or celebrity who has been in the spotlight regarding possible plastic surgery, and at the same time, one can imagine that no matter what the individual in question says, people might not believe it. Ultimately it’s a sensitive topic of discussion, and in the end, it’s really no one else’s business.
Denied using fillers
In Sandra Bullock’s case, she found herself a talking point after her appearance at the Academy Awards. As reported by Allure, Bullock’s looks were hotly debated on social media after users questioned whether she had “stuffed her face with fillers.”
But according to Sandra herself, that was definitely not the case. In an interview with InStyle, she explained that it was all due to her not feeling well, but she decided to attend the gala anyway. No cheek fillers were used, she said.
“This past Oscars I was sick and had allergies, but I was like, ‘I’m just going to go.’ It’s part of my job, and I’m happy to be there. Then the next day they were saying, ‘Oh, she has cheek fillers and implants,'” Bullock recalled.
“When I saw the photos and how swollen I was, I got it. But I was like, ‘Well, if I got injections, I only got them on the top,’ which was not very good.”
Expert speaks out on Sandra Bullock plastic surgery rumor
According to the British cosmetic treatment company Longetivta, there is no evidence suggesting that Sandra Bullock has received any Botox or plastic surgery. However, on its website, they state that she may have had lip fillers.
“While dermal fillers can certainly help with volume loss due to ageing, again, facial swelling from allergies is common. But her cheeks aren’t all where she’s been accused of getting fillers. Some believe that Sandra also had lip fillers. That definitely does seem like it because the actress has a naturally thin upper lip, but it has looked a bit thicker in recent year,” Longevita writes.
Sandra Bullock has not commented on whether she has had lip fillers or not.
