Guns ‘N Roses’ frontman Slash cancels solo tour dates after suffering devastating family tragedy

Hours after Guns ‘N Roses legend Slash announced the sudden cancellation of several of his solo tour dates, Slash shared that his ‘beloved’ stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight had died on July 19.

She was 25 years old.

The iconic guitarist shared that “due to unforeseen circumstances” he had to cancel four dates from his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour. He planned to resume shows on July 28.

Although he didn’t initially give a reason for the cancellation, several hours later Slash revealed why he needed to take a break from touring.

“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024,” he shared in a post on Instagram.

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

A few hours after Slash shared the devastating news, a post appeared on Knight’s Instagram reading, “Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry. Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace?”

The family has asked for privacy and that speculation as to the cause of her death be “kept to a minimum.”
