Madonna calls out fan for sitting during concert, and everyone has the same reaction to the viral moment

Once again Madonna finds herself in the middle of yet another controversy.

Video of the popstar calling out a fan during one of her recent concerts has surfaced, and nearly everyone is in agreement – Madge should never have said anything.

Keep reading to see the video.

In the clip Madonna singles out an audience member for remaining seated.

“What are you doing sitting down over there?” she yells from onstage. “What are you doing sitting down?”

As the crowd cheers, Madonna walks towards the edge of the stage. It’s only then that she realizes she’s made a mistake.

“Oh, OK. Politically incorrect, sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here.”

The person Madonna berated from the stage was reportedly seated in a wheelchair.

It’s unclear when the clip, which began circulating over the weekend, was filmed though Madonna recently performed at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Online reaction to the “Vogue” singer was swift and not positive.

“Does it matter if they’re sitting or standing? they paid for the ticket and took the time to be there? Isn’t that enough???” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Ok you shouldn’t be calling people out for sitting down anyways. She’s not the queen of England. Some people are tired or have conditions where they need to sit. You want them to leave altogether?” another person commented.

“They paid for a seat that she doesn’t want them sitting in? She keeps people waiting for hours and would chide them for sitting down? If I had all the money in the world I wouldn’t go to her show. I wouldn’t go if it were free.”

Another day, another Madonna controversy.

Was it right for Madonna to single out a concertgoer? I certainly don’t think so. Share your thoughts with us on Facebook.
