
Melania Trump has not made too many public outings during her second term as First Lady of the United States. A few weeks ago, she and Donald visited the NAvy where the former model made a speech, which went viral. Now, Melania is once again in the spotlight, however, it’s not “her.” Instead, she is being mocked on Stephen Colbert’s late night show.
Melania Trump promised that her seconr term as First LAdy of the United States would be different than the first, and that, she has kept. The Slovenian-born model has kept a low profile since returning to the White House with Donald Trump.
But just a few weeks ago, she made a rare public appearance and held a speech. Donald and Melania Trump at an event at the Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia to celebrate 250 years of the Navy.
The First Lady of the United States rocked somehwat of a ‘Top Gun’ style with a brown bomber jacket, but as she began her speech, people had some opinions as to how she greeted the navy audience members.
“Hooyah, Navy,” Melania said, but the response was likely not what she had expected. While applause followed, an awkward pause soon appeared in the crowd.
While some praised Melania Trump for her greeting, others weren’t convinced. On social media, many users made their opinions clear on Melania’s “Hooyah.”
“Please make it stop,” one X user wrote.
Melania Trump mocked with ‘fake Melania’ on Stephen Colbert show
The First Lady has since then been seen in public once, but on Tuesday, she returned to the spotlight once again. Or well it wasn’t her, but someone portraying her, and fans are divide.d
On Monday night, Laura Benanti appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where she impersinated Melania. She mocked Melania’s appearance in front of the navy a few weeks ago by yelling “hooyah,” with Colbert explaining that it wasn’t ‘appropriate’ in this setting.
“Oh, no Stephen. ‘Who-ya’ think is excited to be here instead of on a double date with JD Vance?” Benanti, impersinating Melania, said. “Give you a hint: she’s got two thumbs and an ironclad prenup.”
Colbert continued to ask questions about the Navy speech. Later, the Melania character cotninued on talking about her husband’s manhood when asked about how her second term as First Lady has been.
“Oh, it is such an honor. I cannot wait to change my name to Melania Kennedy,” the fake Melania responded.
Stephen Colbert added, “The opera house would have your name,” to which she repsonded, “Oh, that works too, because I can do this — ” as she performed an operatic vocal example.

“Wow. Holy cow, I did not realize you were a trained opera singer,” Colbert stated.
Faux Melania said, “Oh no, that’s just the sound I make when Eric calls me ‘Mommy,.”
Stephen Colbert continued, “Now, ma’am, your husband was also absent from view for a period this summer, possibly due to health issues. And I understand that he’s been diagnosed with something called chronic venous insufficiency.”
“Oh, sadly, it’s true. He has a very small venous,” Laura Benanti, appearing as Melania Trump said.
Per Express, fans of the show were in hysterics.
“I needed this laugh, thank you both and Stephen Colbert you are still the best!!!” one person said.
Another added, “I like this Melania better,” and a third stated, “Seriously the greatest impression, hands down!”
