Brandon Thomas Lee, the 28-year-old son of former Playboy model Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer, Tommy Lee, is making headlines for reasons that have nothing to do with his famous parents.
Instead, he’s caught the public’s attention after reportedly being expelled from the prestigious Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, following an incident that has sparked mixed reactions online.
According to a report by TMZ on August 13, Brandon was kicked out of the exclusive country club after a heated confrontation on the golf course.
The incident allegedly began when Brandon violated club rules by driving his golf cart too close to the green, a serious breach of etiquette in the golfing world. A fellow club member, who witnessed the infraction, began filming Brandon’s actions, which quickly escalated into a shouting match. This altercation ultimately led to Brandon’s removal from the premises.
Following the incident, the club’s board reviewed the situation and decided to revoke Brandon’s membership. They described this as the “final straw,” citing past complaints from other members and staff who had reportedly found Brandon to be rude on several occasions. These cumulative grievances contributed to the decision to expel him from the club.
However, a source close to Brandon disputes these claims, insisting that this was his first and only incident at the club. The source also mentioned that Brandon had generally positive interactions with others during his time at Sherwood Country Club, suggesting that the decision to revoke his membership was unwarranted.
The news of Brandon’s expulsion quickly spread online, leading to a flurry of reactions, many of which were critical of his behavior. “Wow,” reacted one netizen. “Another ENTITLED celebrity kid!! What’s new??”
Another person added: “What do you expect from these entitled elites. Society should pay them no mind.”
Some comments were particularly focused on Brandon’s alleged bad manners, with one user stating: “There is absolutely no excuse for rudeness.”
Another went so far as to suggest: “Must have his dad’s temper.”
Despite the wave of criticism, Brandon also received support from some quarters.
One defender remarked: “He’s not a bad guy, not at all. But he does tend to get a little extreme when there’s a disagreement that doesn’t go his way.”
Another supporter noted: “He’ll be fine and he’s nothing like his father. Yes, he’s a bit full of himself. The way he and his brother care for their mother speaks volumes!! They are good kids! So he went off on a rich dude! Wipe your tears in hundreds and move on!!”
Brandon’s parents, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, have both been open about their son’s personality and career choices.
In 2019, Pamela expressed her support for Brandon’s decision to join MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings, describing him as “wild” and “invincible” in an interview with US Magazine. She praised his fearlessness and confidence, adding that she believed he would have a great time and be highly entertaining on the show due to his humorous nature.
Pamela also spoke about Brandon’s choice to follow a sober lifestyle, which she believes strengthens his character. “He doesn’t drink, and he has such a great time. For some people, [drinking] actually takes your personality away,” she said.
On the other hand, Tommy Lee’s relationship with Brandon has been more tumultuous. In March 2018, the two were involved in a public altercation in which Tommy claimed his son knocked him out. Despite this incident, father and son have since reconciled.
