Surgeon claims show Bianca Censori may have gotten labiaplasty

The appearance of Kanye West and his wife, Biance Censori, at the 2025 Grammy Awards caused a big stir on social media. The outfit Bianca wore bared it all out and people were shocked at the choice of attire.

Now, experts are also weighing in and dissecting the look and giving comments on what they think about the look.

Model Bianca Censori, who is the wife of artist Kanye West, has been at the center of another controversy after her appearance on the Grammy red carpet. She wore a completely transparent, skintight dress that showed every inch of her body.

The internet was fast in its dissection of the look. A lot of people seemed to be of the opinion that Censori had undergone a labiaplasty– a procedure which is popularly referred to as a ‘designer vagina.’

Dr. Fenwa Milhouse, a urologist, also added some thoughts to the internet discourse by talking about why the procedure might be attractive to some celebrities.

“Celebrities may want this new Barbie look, where the vulva is flush and no labia minora is visible,” she said in her interview.

According to Dr. Milhouse, it is possible that Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, chose a minor reduction of her labia tissue to achieve a smoother and more ‘contoured’ look.

The surgery works so that the external part of the vulva can alter its physical appearance wherever the folds might appear beyond what a patient wants.

The “Barbie look” that the Doctor talked about is achieved by reducing the labia minora’s size to the point where it ‘folds back’ into the vagina and is covered completely by the labia major.

In an interview with The Sun, Dr. Milhouse theorized that the trends might be encouraged by the rise of fashion trends these days, which encourage being thinner and exposing a lot of skin.

Dr. Camila Atal is a surgeon who specializes in aesthetic harmonization and told Bored Panda, that labiaplasty has grown in popularity in the last few years even though it still might not be widely known.

“More and more women are starting to consider getting labiaplasty for a variety of reasons,” she shared, adding, “Most do it for aesthetic reasons, but there are some who, due to particularly difficult births or other causes, suffer from discomfort during physical activity and irritation.”

Data shows that between 2015 to 2020, labiaplasty saw a 73% increase in popularity in the United States, with the number increasing more every time.

The study showed that most women who went through the surgery did so because they reported pain during intercourse, either physical or psychological.

“Negative comments from sexual partners also influence decisions to pursue labiaplasty,” the paper asserted. “71% of women who had undergone labiaplasty had received a critical comment from a sexual partner.
