Photos of Kate Middleton were kept on the phone of Donald Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks, according to a bombshell report by RadarOnline.
Crooks’ name spread across the world last week in the aftermath of a failed assassination attempt involving former president Trump. One of the shots fired by Crooks struck Trump in the ear, coming within an inch of almost certainly killing him.
The 20-year-old suspect was shot dead by a Secret Service sniper in the moments that followed, while new details about Crooks’ identity and potential motives have come to light in the subsequent days.
According to a new report published by RadarOnline, Trump might not have been the only high-profile individual on Crooks’ mind.
Rather, it’s sensationally being claimed that Pennsylvania resident Crooks had “scoped out” members of the British Royal Family and even had photos of Kate Middleton on his phone.
It’s claimed that the information was brought to light after a closed-door briefing between the FBI and U.S. politicians was leaked.
Kate Middleton was said to be among the topics researched by Crooks before the 20-year-old attempted to shoot dead Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
RadarOnline say that not only had Crooks researched Middleton, but he also had photos of Trump and President Joe Biden on his mobile device, as well as key dates for the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
Robert Wells, assistant director of the FBI counter terrorism division, declared that the assassination attempt on Trump is being treated as “an act of domestic terrorism”.
Kate Middleton, meanwhile, made an appearance at the Wimbledon final last weekend, sparking a number of comments from fans online.
The Princess of Wales, readers will remember, was diagnosed with cancer following a routine abdominal procedure in January, and has kept well away from the limelight as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy.
Updates on Kate’s condition have come few and far between, but the fact that the 42-year-old was deemed well enough to attend events such as Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon tennis final is promising.
Kate, the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, watched the Wimbledon final as Carlos Alcaraz of Spain defeated Serbia’s legend Novak Djokovic.
Marking the momentous occasion of her return to her royal duties, Kate took to social media to make a post that read: “Great to be back at @Wimbledon!,” it went on, “There’s nothing quite like The Championships ?.”
