18-year-old starts having seizure on train – gets help from complete stranger who later shares whole story

Social media may have introduced a number of positives with regards to how interconnected we all are, but that comes with its downsides as well. After all, chances are if there’s bad news or bullying going on, social media is probably where you’ll find it.

Our news feeds are inundated with negativity, which can put quite the drain on your mood. Which is why when something heartwarming pops up, we feel obliged to share it with you.

The story in question took place on the subway, providing a perfect example of the sort of things humans are capable of when we work together. Not only that, but it serves as a poignant reminder that it’s ofttimes important to be mindful of your surroundings and not simply lose yourself to your phone or iPad.

Writer Erynn Brook shared her subway experience online after being approached by an 18-year-old who suffers from epilepsy. Their conversation began when said girl told Erynn that she was going to have a seizure …

Erynn told her story in a series of Twitter posts, describing first how the teen approached her, and then the events that followed after.

And there you have it: your daily dose of absolute awesomeness! We think Erynn’s absolutely right in virtually everything she said, and it’s beyond a doubt she made that 18-year-old’s time a hell of a lot more comfortable.
