36-year-old Maria Nordø Jørstad, from Denmark, seems your average woman like any other. Indeed she was, until posting photos her unusual pregnancy back in 2018 that went viral.
Now, all babies are equally beautiful, as are the women who carry them and the entire process involved in bringing in a new life into the world.
That said, no one would deny that Maria’s case is somewhat unique. After taking a look at the unusual shape of her belly, we’re sure you’ll agree.
In early 2018, Maria began to attract thousands of fans to her Instagram, in no small part due to the eye-catching transformation her body undertook after she fell pregnant…
Of course, falling pregnant is a wonderful time for any woman and marks a turning point in life that promises so much happiness and joy.
Emotions most certainly must have been high for Maria when she found out she was pregnant with not one, but three babies in 2018.
No sooner had Maria’s belly began to stretch and grow to accommodate the triplets she was carrying did people online begin to take serious interest. The Instagram page where others could follow Maria’s pregnancy journey rapidly attracted over 50,000 followers!
“At first there were strange comments, people tagging their friends and so on. But, over time, the response has become more positive,” she told Swedish newspaper Expressen at the time.
“I’m proud of my stomach! I’m also surprised at how it can be so big without falling down. It’s amazing!”
As per reports, Maria’s belly really began to change shape around week 22. Despite carrying three growing babies, however, the rest of the 36-year-old’s body remained virtually unchanged.
The would-be mom revealed she soon experienced trouble when it came to lifting things, and was unable to pick up her then-2-year-old son.
Needless to say, it was a challenge for Maria, but she remained positive and excited about expanding her family.
In September, 2018 Maria gave birth to three health and happy babies, daughters Iben and Agnes, and son Filip.
Maria posted a status that read:
“At 08.55, 08.56 and 08.57 today we welcomed our beautiful babies to the world. 😍😍😍

Iben – 1950 g, 48 cm 💗
Filip – 2070 g, 48 cm 💙
Agnes – 2335 g, 47 cm 💗

Everything went really well, and we are so happy and relieved.
