Barack and Michelle Obama took to social media to honor their youngest daughter Sasha on her 23rd birthday!
The former president and former first lady both shared rare photos of their daughter alongside a sweet caption.
On Monday, Barack posted a throwback photo of himself and his youngest daughter hanging out in the grass.
“Happy birthday, Sasha! It’s been such a joy to watch you make your own way in the world…and you’re just getting started!” he wrote.
Last year, Sasha graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in sociology. She initially began her college career at the University of Michigan, but in 2022, she transferred to USC.
Her move to Los Angeles brought her closer to her older sister Malia, 25, who has been living in LA and working in the film industry since graduating from Harvard in 2021.
In addition to the former president’s sweet shoutout, Michelle Obama also paid tribute to the couple’s daughter.
“Happy birthday, Sasha! You make me so incredibly proud. Hope this year brings you everything you want and more. Love you. ?,” she shared alongside a photo of the two of them embracing on top of a rooftop.
Although Malia and Sasha were often photographed during their father’s presidential terms, the young women have mostly stayed out of the spotlight since Barack left office in 2017.
