Influencer spends $10,000 on herself at Christmas leaving her kids with nothing

Mom Carla Bellucci declares she’s a “brilliant mom” after spending $10,000 (£8,000) on beauty fixes and clothes for Christmas but hasn’t bought anything for her kids.

The 38-year-old mom of three from Hertforshire, England, says she wants to teach her teenage children to earn their own money by withholding gifts this year.

Carla treated herself to new veneers, touch up Botox and fillers, manicures, facials, new clothes, and shoes to celebrate the festive season, with nothing left to spend on gifts for her children.

The Instagram influencer with more than 100,000 followers says she deserves her treats after the stress of lockdown.

“I don’t care if people call me spoilt or selfish. I know I deserve my £8,000 spending spree. Spoiling kids at Christmas is wrong. I think parents who spoil their kids this year are hypocrites,” Carla told British newspaper The Sun.

“I am a brilliant mom and am using COVID Christmas as a life lesson. I want my kids to be social media stars and withholding gifts this year will teach them to make money for themselves.

“Lockdown stressed me so I need to spoil myself. I have always bought the kids nice things at Christmas throughout the years. It’s mommy time now.”

Her lavish spending spree in an effort to look younger and more beautiful has caused tension at home with the single mom saying her kids are calling her spoilt and not talking to her.

She said: “I think they need to lavish me with attention now, they’re old enough.

“It sounds harsh but I know they’re on their social media feeds doubling their efforts for promotion deals, just like the Kardashians and Kylie Jenner, so I consider myself a super mom for inspiring them,” she told The Sun.

Carla hit the headlines in 2019 after “faking depression to get a free nose job” through Britain’s National Healthcare Service.

Carla also said moms should spoil themselves with beauty treatments and clothes to “stop their men from straying.”

She added: “I think moms who spoil their kids and don’t spend money on themselves normally let themselves go. That’s why they end up divorced and their fellas stray. No one wants a scummy mummy, you have to work at looking good and moms who spoil their kids don’t.”

I think all moms deserve to pamper themselves as much as possible but I’m not sure many would sacrifice their children’s Christmas gifts to do so.

Surely spending money on others, especially our kids, gives us the most joy at Christmas?
