Man makes fried chicken for 200 children – uses incredible seasoning technique

There’s a reason chicken is one of the most popular non-vegetarian foods around the world.

Boasting an innumerable amount of tantalising recipes, poultry is enjoyed by people on every content. Roasted, fried, even boiled; the great thing about chicken is there’s no right or wrong way to have it. There can be no doubting, though, that one of the most mouth-watering ways of preparing chicken – and one that is great for enhancing its spice factor – is deep-frying in hot oil.

This Indian gentleman cooked two hundred, one at a time, for a group of village children.

Before deep-frying them in cooking oil, he seasoned the chicken with more than a dozen spices.

And yes, before you ask, we do have the incredible recipe below:

Marinade Ingredients:

  • Chicken drumsticks
  • Eggs
  • Lemon
  • Salt
  • Chilli powder
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Coriander powder
  • Black pepper powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Turmeric
  • Soy Sauce
  • Cumin Powder
  • Curd
  • Mixed herbs
  • Vinegar
  • Thyme
  • Schezwan sauce

First Coating Ingredients:

  • Flour
  • Corn flour
  • Bread crumb powder
  • Cooking oil
  • Cornflakes
  • Oats

Second Coating Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Corn flour
  • Egg

The Cooking Process:

Step 1:

Wash and clean the chicken. Cut small slits in each drumstick. This is to allow the marinade to flavor the inside of the chicken, as well as the exterior.

Step 2:

Place the chicken and marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly, until all the chicken is thoroughly covered in the marinade mixture. Leave the chicken to marinate for three hours. Mix together the first coating ingredients, and dip the chicken into the dry ingredients to give them a crispy, crunchy texture after the deep-frying.

Step 3:

Mix together the second coating ingredients. This serves as an outer coating to the chicken and adds another layer of flavor. Fill a large pan with cooking oil and heat it. Dip the chicken in the final coating mixture and drop it in the hot oil carefully so as not to burn yourself.

Cook three to four drumsticks at a time on medium-high heat. Fry them for 5-6 minutes when they take on a nice golden brown color. Take care not to overcook the chicken to avoid them drying out inside. Drain the excess oil from the chicken when removing, and place them on a plate.
