Sometimes I feel like we live in a society where aging is frowned upon. It seems like many people think growing older equals to a life without experiencing new things, having fun or falling in love.
Love is timeless and relationships that have lasted decades are usually the strongest. My parents have been together for over 40 years and even though they bicker and argue, the bond they have is incomparable.
It’s sad that we don’t see more of elderly love in movies or on billboards. One person who might agree is a Russian photographer Irina Nedyalkov. ‘A while back, she took some beautiful and moving pictures of an elderly couple at the beach.
It wasn’t until she posted them on her Facebook page that all of the sudden thousands took an enormous liking to these very sweet pictures of this couple sharing a loving and intimate moment. The pictures have been shared all over the world and received a great feedback. People seem to be happy about seeing elderly love on pictures.
