Sandra Bullock’s reaction to disturbing “Blind Side” claims is absolutely heartbreaking

Sandra Bullock has been left “heartbroken” by the allegations made by former NFL player Michael Oher, the inspiration behind the hit film The Blind Side.

The 2009 flick, which garnered much acclaim, was adapted from The Blinde Side: Evolution of a Game, a 2006 book documenting the story of Oher, who rose to stardom after being adopted by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy.

Oher was one of the 13 children born to a drug-addicted mother, and The Blind Side film paints a grim picture of his early years prior to the aforementioned adoption.

Yet disturbing new claims by Oher himself, now 37, suggest that he was never actually adopted by the Tuohy family at all.

Oher’s startling revelation was made in court documents, prompting outrage online. There have even been calls for Sandra Bullock, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Leigh Anne in The Blind Side film, to give back her Academy Award.

As per reports, Oher filed a 14-page petition in a Shelby County, Tennessee, probate court saying that the Tuohy’s never adopted him. Instead, after he turned 18 years old, they tricked him into signing a conservatorship agreement which allowed them to make business deals in his name.

Though Bullock herself hasn’t officially commented on the rumors, the 59-year-old actress is said to “hate” that her work with a story she believed to be true has now been tainted.

A source told the Daily Mail: “She hates that such a wonderful story, a spectacular movie, and a spectacular time in her life now has been tainted.

“Now people won’t watch it and if they do, they will have a completely different reaction to its original intention.

“There was so much hard work put into the film that they all thought was the truth and now that has been questioned, it just upsets Sandra to no end that a time in her life that was so special, is now shadowed with a completely different perspective.”

Bullock is also currently dealing with the passing of her longtime partner Bryan Randall, who died earlier this month, August 5, after a battle with ALS.

The Daily Mail source said that the 59-year-old actress is “putting up a strong face and a strong front as it has been a rough patch for her emotionally with the loss of Bryan, and now she is heartbroken in a different way with all the fallout from the Michael Oher news.

“She is figuring out how to move forward from it all, it is just going to take a little bit, but emotions are very high right now for Sandra and she is looking forward to better days ahead.”

What do you think to the claims made by Michael Oher regarding The Blind Side.
