Stephanie shows off the post-pregnancy “hole” in her stomach – to inspire other new moms

Stephanie Bruce decided to take a break from her career as a professional runner to start a family. And within 15 months, she had given birth to two sons.

Every new mom learns firsthand that her body changes after giving birth, and so it was for Stephanie. Although she was ecstatic after having her two boys, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy about how her pregnancies had left her stomach.

But then, she decided to go public and share her story with other women…

This is Stephanie Bruce. She’s a professional runner who took a break from her career to raise a family.

Now, she’s a happy mother of two sons, who were born only 15 months apart. But after giving birth two times, Stephanie’s stomach has changed.

In the middle of her stomach is a pit so deep that she can put her fingers in it.

Stephanie’s abdomial muscles have separated, leaving a hole between them. In medical terms, the condition is called diastasis recti.

After her second son was born, Stephanie decided to start training again. But her body wasn’t the same. Like many other women in the same situation, she was ashamed of her stomach. But as a runner, Stephanie is forced to show off her abs all the time.

Eventually, Stephanie made an important decision. She refused to be ashamed of her stomach.

Instead of hiding her stomach, Stephanie started showing it publicly on her Instagram. Now she wants to inspire other women who have been through the same thing.

“It doesn’t matter what you look like. It’s a matter of how you feel and how strong you are,” she tells Inside Edition.

Stephanie decided to share her workout images and document the process of rebuilding her abs back after pregnancy. She hopes other women will see her photos and workout tips and start showing off their stomachs, too.

The photos have received both positive and negative comments. Some people think she should hide her stomach. But most people are inspired by her courage.

I also want to pay tribute to Stephanie! There’s far too little info out there about the changes that occur to women’s bodies after pregnancy. Many women suffer in silence and think they are alone, and many woman are ashamed to show their bodies.

Watch this video to see how Stephanie is trying to change that:

No mother should be ashamed of her bodies—because after all, they’ve just helped create a small miracle. Please share this story if you agree!
