Vigil held for 4-year-old girl with Down syndrome after alleged murder by her father

An online vigil has been held in memory of Willow Dunn, the four-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was allegedly murdered by her father in Brisbane, Australia.

A candle-lit vigil was held at 7pm yesterday after Willow was found dead in her home in Cannon Hill on Monday.

As per reports, her father, Mark James Dunn, 43, has been charged with murder. The little girl had been dead for at least two days before an emergency call was placed to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Disturbing reports have detailed how Willow’s body was being consumed by rats after she was left in her crib in a bedroom at the back of her family home.

Starvation is being investigated as a potential cause of death. Neighbors say they had never seen the four-year-old, despite her having lived in the home for a year.

GoFundMe page has been set up to pay for Willow’s funeral, with tributes having flooded in from people around the world.

Such a tragedy truly makes my heart bleed. How anyone could leave their child to die in circumstances such as these is beyond me.

Rest in peace, little Willow, we hope you’re at peace now in the Lord’s arms.

Hopefully, Mark Dunn will be met with the justice that he deserves. Share this article if you think he should face a tough sentence.
