Nicole Eggert is once again speaking out about her battle with cancer. However, this time the news isn’t positive.
The Baywatch alum informed fans that doctors recently discovered the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.
“It’s horrible, it’s horrible,” the 53-year-old told Inside Edition.
She explained she first knew something was off when she began experiencing “really rapid weight gain and fatigue.” She also felt pain in her breast, which led to the discovery of a lump.
“When I felt it my heart dropped and I was like ‘Oh my god.’”
Eggert was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer, invasive cribriform carcinoma, which she says was more difficult to spot due to scar tissue from breast implants when she was a teen.
“If I didn’t have them, and I had my smaller, natural breasts, I am sure I would have felt it much sooner.”
The one thing the actress regrets is not doing self-exams. She hopes her story will serve as a warning to others.
“Do the self-exams, and don’t get those implants.”
