Belts are very necessary sometimes – they help keep those pants or skirts up just where they need to be.
But as with so many other things, it might be worth thinking twice before you dump your next used belt in the trash.
I came across this super neat hack on what to do with your used leather belts and just had to share – check it out below!
Directions:
To begin with, you need two boards to form your shelves.
It need not be anything sophisticated or expensive, you may simply use leftover materials you have available at home.
Paint the shelves with a sponge. Use a color that you like and that will suit your decor.
Now grab your old belt. Trim or cut off the buckle and any metal parts.
Cut the belt into four equal pieces.
Mark the place on your board where your belt straps should sit.
Also mark where the belt will be secured to your wall.
Using two small nails, attach the belt onto your plank of wood.
Then, simply nail your belt straps onto the wall.
Voilà! You now have your very own unique shelf with the help of an old belt.
