Do this before you brush your teeth – and save hundreds on dental care

Although not everything is about looks, I think we agree on one thing: we’d all like to have a whiter smile.

Many people fail to take care of their teeth in one way or another—and according to the Center for Disease Control in the United States, “47.2 percent of adults aged 30 years and older have some form of periodontal disease.”

However, one natural product is said to work wonders for your dental health and discolored teeth.

What is it? Coconut oil.

Going to the dentist all the time to take care of bad teeth can be costly.

But there are some tricks you can try to strengthen your oral health apart from brushing your teeth every day.

Coconut oil can eliminate tooth discoloration in a completely natural way without attacking your enamel.

And it doesn’t hurt that it also freshens your breath.

So why not give this oral health home remedy a try?

What you need:

1 tablespoon of cold-pressed coconut oil (sesame oil also works well).

How it works:

Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and gargle for 10 minutes before you brush your teeth. The oil will mix with the saliva in your mouth and become a thin, whitish liquid. Agitate it around your teeth, gums, and tongue so the coconut oil can absorb toxins and cleanse your mouth.

After 10 minutes, spit out the oil in the trash so you don’t end up clogging your sink.

This method is also called “oil pulling,” an ancient Indian art of healing that has become popular in recent times.

The idea is to use pure oils to “pull out” harmful bacteria, fungi, and other harmful particles from your mouth, teeth, and gums.

Many people online have written about getting good results after only a few weeks, and there is also some scientific support for the method.

Of course coconut oil isn’t a miracle cure that will whiten your teeth in a few seconds, but it can be a healthy option for those who want a fresher mouth, according to this study.

It doesn’t hurt to try, right?

Please share this tip with your friends on Facebook so that they also get the chance to have a fresher mouth!
