Blind Singer Brings All Three Judges To Tears On ”The Voice.”

Vernon Barnard was born with glaucoma. His vision started out fine before he completely lost it and had to undergo 16 surgeries before the age of 5. Despite his disability and difficult adolescence, Vernon decided to pursue his lifelong dream—to embark on a career as a musician. As part of that dream Vernon got up the courage to audition for “The Voice: South Africa.” Here he makes his first audition, and when he sings One Direction’s “Story Of My Life” there’s not a dry eye on the judge’s panel. Vernon could hardly have imagined that he would knock out the entire jury, but one of the judges is so moved by Vernon’s performance that he has to be consoled. Check out the emotional moment below.

If Vernon’s performance also touched you, please share.
